Animal

In 2020, finding plant-based options—restaurants, clothing, personal care—fell into a gap between Google’s broad results and niche apps like HappyCow that didn’t match real-world discovery behavior. I saw an opportunity to design a centralized lifestyle hub starting with food search. Research with 13 participants revealed strong purchase intent (83%) despite moderate perceived need (42%). I developed brand positioning, a low-fidelity prototype and high-fidelity wireframes spanning search, curated content, commerce, and community features—learning the complexities of designing a multi-feature platform from initial concept through interface design.

Things learned:
→ Big ideas need community
→ Design ≠ end
→ Build faster, test more
