In the beginning
There's either an idea or a problem..
how will you build out q3's objective? We're having trouble aligning launch themes? we need value from this communication channel? I wanna be younger? shall we create a religion? It looks like shit.. we need more money.
The input may vary, but the parallel I ask is constant, what will make this special?
I take the raw and unordered, further deconstruct it, then build a valuable that can be discussed and measured. I package it in a story, where I'll add an unexpected element, to be shared for the benefit of others.
The unexpected element, within the story, is where I create delight.
This is the vision.
Matter and motion
Breaking down the raw and unordered elements require words of knowledge and understanding (clouds of wisdom). The attributes, behaviors and dynamics that come as a result of this deconstruction are the foundation of its reconstruction ie principles for all that will be built, created and new.
Transforming the input into a valuable that's recognizable to it's founder and aligned with, or beyond, their initial vision, prompts action and testing ie build fast and ask frequently. How are the harmonics? how does this article compare with your minds eye? Are we avoidant of sameness or looking to fit in? Though the context of the field, industry and customer touchpoint might be obvious data points, this information is imperative to coax the vision into its fullest expression.
These are the elementals.
Creation
With the hypothesis established, the prediction molds the valuable. This three set prime splits open a channel to focus the required application of the experience ie the cornerstone of the action is set.
This creation arc—story, principles and application—are elementals I use to blossom ideas, translate concepts and build discoverables along the customer experience.
This is how I resolve.
